British grapplers Pippa L'vinn and Louise Lockwood made their U.S. debuts at the PGWA's "Eye of the Storm" 1999 live event, and in this match they lock up in a 2 out of 3 falls or submission contest.

Louise enters the ring first, the young Mancunian (a mere 15 years old at the time!) proudly holding the St. George's Cross flag as the crowd cheers her. Next comes Pippa, who had already wrestled Shelby Beach earlier in the card, so the fans knew all about her wicked ways.

From the opening bell, L'Vinn goes on the attack, and she literally owns the first round, slamming your younger opponent from pillar to post and subjecting Lockwood to a dizzying array of technical holds... and a few underhanded tactics as well, leaving poor Louise screaming in pain and frustration until she finally submits to a potentially crippling move.

Awaiting the start of the second round, the camera catches sight of Louise, and she is near tears. But look beyond that, and one can see the fire in her eyes! She is bound and determined to turn this match around!

Overconfident, Pippa drops her guard, and now it's Lockwood's turn to dominate, as she demonstrates that she knows more than her fair share of technical holds as well...and that she can roughhouse with the best of them, too! Only cheating allows L'Vinn to gain momentary respites from the mauling, but in the end, Louise claims the fall and ties up the match.

The third and deciding match has both grapplers going all-out to beat the other. The action gets so heated, that even when it's over, Shelby Beach has to rush into the ring to split them apart!

This match is a veritable textbook of great moves... Stepover Toeholds, Hammerlocks, Bodyscissors, Anklelocks, Victory Rolls, even back-to-back Piledrivers! Plus, more than a few rule-bending punches, stomps, and even some biting! All-told, it's a titanic match that helped introduce these two English Roses to the world, and underscored the PGWA's reputation for finding great talent from across the globe! This is one match you won't want to deny yourself!

Another one from the PGWA history books...the very first American match for both Pippa and Shelby! They were already bitter rivals back home in Manchester, England, but this confrontation was to take their feud to an entirely new level of animosity!

Both are experts at technical submission grappling, but Beach has the edge in raw strength, while L'Vinn is quicker and more agile. It should also be noted that the brunette is as skilled at brawling and rulebreaking as anyone, and she puts those talents to work in this one.

You'll wince in sympathetic pain as these two subject one another to agonizing holds, each anxious to wring a verbal submission out of the other. Arms and legs are cruelly twisted and yanked, and powerful scissorholds are used to torture one another. And you'll be amazed by the amazing submission/pinfall hold that finally wins this match!

The Pippa L'Vinn/Shelby Beach feud is timeless, but once upon a time it began right here, with the match that took them from rivals to sworn lifetime enemies! Don't miss this one!
